Hi, does anyone have a picture or could someone photoshop a set of 19inch BBS CH to a MK6 Gti? I may get a set in charcoal this week.
Thanks in advance
-
Sorry not BBS, but similar, and they are 19's.

Those 20" wheels are so obviously too big for the poor little Golf!

How about these :-

Best I can do is some 8x18s. Close but no cigar I guess.
Maybe someone can photochop 'em to make 'em slightly bigger?

i think the 18s look just right on the golf 19s are over kill and if you were to lower that one above 35mm will make them look bigger any way

Good PS skills there, but TBH lowered cars to me just look as if they're carrying 300kg of cement in the back  IMHO, the golden rule is that there should be an even gap between the top edge of the tyre and the wheel arch all the way around. That's how the factory builds its cars, whatever the size of the wheel. Uneven gap = messed around with/drug dealer look

Yeah, for your boggo shopping car maybe.
Edit: let me re-phrase that so I don't offend. For your boggo Golf 1.4 maybe. For an uprated car, they always lower the suspension. Plus take a look at a side-view of the Golf R, or a 911 GT3, etc

How about Helios ?? The look bigger than they really are !

they look the nuts. first set of alloys i would consider getting over the monza IIs.
-
Always liked the helios
-
Nice wheel design, but IMHO they're an inch too big.
-
Mind that car has been lowered 50mm. Don't know how that would compare overall to the GTi?
-
sorry to be a pain in the 4r5e but can anyone use a picture of my car and change the Monza 2's so that they are smoke silver on Photoshop?
Thanks

Just noticed, it's got front mud guards

Oh yes, so it has... and they look quite good actually.

You gonna try again?

I bought both front and rear mud flaps... but the rear ones dont fit... sigh... apparently the GTI's bump is bigger than the standard Mk6s... Front fits ok... Am sorting out with Wolfsburg since I specifically mentioned the flaps are for the Mk6 GTI...

The Helios wheels come on the VW Phaeton. You can probably buy replicas though. The genuine Phaeton wheels are very rare and very expensive. Hardly anybody has bought a Phaeton let alone changed the wheels on one (a few footballers maybe? )
Personally I don't like them on the mk6, but I'm old and miserable  Seriously though they are either 19 or 20 inch and very wide and completely the wrong offset. It's very fashionable in the UK to have tyres at a dangerous stretch (in other words too narrow for the rims they're on) and the Helios provide this. However to drive with a set of them on a bumpy road I'd expect the car to be all over the place. They would be fine for showing off at car shows though I guess. They'd be even better left on a Phaeton.
