Title: no spark?????

hi guys. ive got a problem that i hope you guys can help with. i have a mk1 golf with a mk4 2.0 8v with a lot of major mods... after fitting a new battery i managed to hit the inner wing while doing up the + terminal the problem is i now hav no spark at all. the ignition amplifier has been tested and its fine. the coil is brand new. there is 12v power to the coil but nothing coming out of it. ive been told to test the hall sender unit????. any advice will help me out loads..cheers. :'(

HT side or the earth on the coil??

Might be the earth strap on the engine??

^^^^^Very good point and often overlooked, make sure your engine has a good earth.
