Title: muck
Post by: littleboyred on 24 September 2009, 17:16
had my screen replaced yesterday, the guy accidently droped the bonnet hinge cover inside the wing, i undid the wheel arch plastics both sides and where the arch meets the sill, i found an almighty build up of crap just sitting there lookin at me, it rose about 6 inches from the sill and filled the space behind the plastic . it was soakin wet, it must build up over the years gettin in around the arch cover. got a hose on it and blew out the both sides. you might want to look behind yours its a rot situation waiting to happen. its got a couple of hex screws to remove and the plastic comes off easy to do. the find was a bit scary though.

Might have to investigate this on mine. I'm always looking for more bits to clean!
