Title: size of bolt on alternator bracket

hey, does any1 know the size ov the bolt that goes through the bracket coming from the block on a mk2 golf gti 8v? mines snapped and need a new one.

Don't know the size but I bought one from VW for a few quid, turned out to be the wrong one (too small) and did not screw into the bracket so I used thread lock (Slick still has plenty) and a nut that fitted, seems to be holding... Just call VW and ask for the two different size bolts for the alternator bracket that hold the alternator on.

The long allen head bolt?  if so:
N   044 759 1 - M8x95 - 0.67+VAT
