Title: What gear box can i use/options????

Hi all, need to no what options i have for a replacment gear box for Jreg 1.8 clipper as it has packed up.
  Not very nice thing to happen :sick:
 Also what kinda of money we looking at hear?

quite a few models, chances are its got 100mm shafts as its a late 1.8 model, so you'll want MK2 1.8 8v carb/gti or a mk2 16v box with a 16v clutch kit. mk3 2.0 8v will also fit, again with a MK2 16v clutch kit.

obv later cab ones, and also later scirocco. you'll want to measure the box flanges though to make sure they're definitly 100mm before you buy.

you can swap shafts or flanges to convert either way, but extra hassle you could probably do without!
