Got a few scratches/swirls etc.. around the body of the car.
I have heard about ScratchX but wondered if anyone knows of better out there? Scratch X is cheap anyway so its not about the price, its the quality!!

There are many different products out there. VAG paint is hard and its worth getting the right product. Have a look over at detailing world.....

scratch x 2.0 is fine to use by hand if your technique is good but not so good on the rotory, as said above vag paint is hard stuff, menzerna do a triplepack of various grade compounds which are very good quality and value for money, or dodojuice do lime prime and lime prime light which again are very good products and will blow megs stuff out of the water.
hope this helps:)

I bought the menz pack not long after I bought my car. I use them with a G220 and to be fair, once you have mastered the technique, they do a superb job.

dodo lime prime... as a hand applied polish is really good. menz or even megs polishes do a great job when used with a DA
-
Agreed Lime Prime is a great Polish, however it's not really what the OP was asking about, he is asking about removing scratches, Lime prime will not remove scratches. It will remove light swirl marks if used correctly with a DA or Rotary, but will not remove a scratch.

Cheers dudes :smiley
Im not talking huge "to the metal" scratches but the good old ordinary ones? lol
You know what i mean!? Dont ya! I heard about dodo juice... But yeah i just need the best thing to get those sort of annoying scratches off that make the car not look its best.
So this is how i think it would go IF i used the megs scratch x....
Wash the car (Simples!)
Apply megs
Apply polish (I have AG resin polish)
And buff to a shine
?????????????
Ahhh the perils of cleaning a car and having it dirty the next day! hahaha

Yes that's the order you want to do it in, you really need a wax to put over the top though, to lock in all the hard work you have done. If you don't wax, the protection from the SRP will last no time at all.
Apply a good wax and you will get 2-3 months protection.

to echo what waxamomo said, get yourself some good quality wax for protection,
dodojuice do a whole range of really good wax's.
for durability and lasting protection id say go for collinite 476's or 845.
