and is it costly to fix
150quid
insurance quote i got was 539quid which i thought was good
but i dunno weather to get it because he sold me the ax lol
and the polo is dyin fast
he is gettin back to me with the mileage n stuff sumtime

sounds like a shed, try and squeeze more life out of the polo until you can afford something worth keeping. i have a feeling if you buy the driver you wont be happy and it'll just be another lump of money wasted ! :-\
-
i was thinkin the same i am set on a gti so thats wot i will get
also it wont be out special for 150quid
-
what's a gti bodykit?
-
just makes it look like a gti does'nt it arches n stuff
-
So thats ?150 plus a new tax disk lets say ?75 if it passes its mot which i doubt it will so thats another ?40 for an mot and lets say ?400 on repairs sounds like it needs em.miscellanious expenses ?35
TOTAL=?700
Rob save your money keep looking on yahoo cars/autotrader/local paper theres plenty of mk2 gti been going recently round our area for roughly that kind of cash
plenty of scrappy's as well i use the one in skelton they usually have golfs in. ;D

Leave it alone if he was the one that sold you the AX. If it's overeating it could be the thermostat which is about ?8 and then fitting, plus fluid as they need to flush the system, so say ?50 to fix minimum, but if the overheating is due to the head gasket, then go see the bank manager, could cost loads. Stick with the Polo and save up is my advice. :)
