Mmmm nice! ::)
Could do with some chunky tyres tho.
-
wtf! :D

It's a genuine Mk2 from VW, called the Golf Country.
It's a freakin wierd car though. Think it has the 1.8 Carb engine with 4 wheel drive and off-road gear.
Pretty damn rare. Worth a bit in the right market, but who'd buy one?
-
Thats my mates Country one of 160 limited edition ones it has a de-tuned 95hp digifant engine in it he paid over ?4k for it earlier this year and that was after a lot of haggling all left hookers though ,unusal thing but looks kinda cool..
-
Wonder If you can fit Big Bumpers onto it ;D
-
I quite like it, looks kinda different :)
-
Tis fookin lush 8) :D
-
my golf was badged up as a country, unfortunately it's not 4wd though ;)
-
Cool car, makes a change to see something different 8)
Don't fancy changing mine to look like a mini Range Rover ;)
Does it come with VW wellies or were they an optional extra. BAAAAA
-
as they are 5 dr and have the 4wd i have always wondered about putting my Limited engine into one, it could be fun.
-
Do you reckon i could get hold of some of them roof bars anywhere?? Would be better then using the rubbers!
A friend i know also has on of them, but i haven't seen it...
-
I'd love one of them just for the fact it's a mk2 ;D
I wonder if the toureq's engine would fit. probably in the back.
-
they r quality saw one at inters this year!
-
I'll never forget the first time I saw one, it was in cambridge about 7 or 8 years ago. I was walking to the hairdressers in my lunchbreak and strolled past this capri green mk2 and caught a glance of some bull bars out the corner of my eye. I was like WTF and stopped for a better look and it was a good few seconds before I could work out what wasn't quite right with this mk2..............the fact that it was about 2foot off the ground with huge wheels. I hadn't even heard of them until then.
The one at inters was the same colour as the one I saw that day, maybe it was even the same one!

I ahve a set of those roof bars attatched to my garage wall :)
You know you have to drill a hole through teh roof to fit them! Whahct you head lining!

I don't mind the holes, i'd use them quite a bit and would be preferable to the rubbers, which are totally perished! Where do you get them?
-
from vw they are called roof bars, you can find them on e-bay quite often
-
I know what they're called! ;)
I'd hoped it might be somewhere other than VW, cos they'd be expensiv! I'd also like to get the ones for the golf, for the proper sizes and everything!
