Title: Brake bleeding rear drums????
Post by: 01664gti on 16 September 2009, 12:06
I tried to bleed the rear drums on my golf today, After changing a wheel cylinder i thought i would bleed the other side but there is no nipple on the passenger side. Anyone know how to bleed them????

if theres no nipple its been sheared off, which means you cant bleed the brakes, you'll have to replace that wheel cylinder :(

Id do both the rears and fit new shoes while you're there. maybe do the bearings too

As above you need a new wheel cylinder.

the hole in the plate is there but if you look through it there is no sign that there has ever been a nipple there.I am going to get a new one in a bit either that or rip it all off and get a gti rear set up.
