Title: Remapping 115GTTDi
Post by: BenGTTDi on 15 September 2009, 10:50
Hi Guys,

I just been looking through the forum is looks like R-tech remap these cars to around 140-150bhp

I have been looking on the superchips website and they claim 160bhp form the 115pd engine!

Is this possible?

Cheers,

The limiting factor is the small 115pd VNT turbo, they can make good overboost and hold boost well to give a nice torque band but they dont hold high boost to well so tuning below 150bhp is to keep the turbo cooler and safe.
Our torque bands tend to last longer than most other remap, which makes them really smooth across the whole band, not a nasty spike then nothing.

IMO 160bhp from the 115pd VNT is trying a bit too much.

I don't think that's a 130 to be honest mate. Maybe a 110 or a 115. The wheels are the ones I had on my 110 TDI.And those seats aren't Recaros.

How can you tell when your looking around one of these cars what model they are 115/130/150?

Is a plaque or something in the engine bay?

Cheers,

It comes up on insurance as a GT TDI 110 mate. So it's NOT a 130.

115 is AJM
130 is ASZ
150 is ARL

130's were only produced from 2001 onwards
