looks like ill get it then, also, how hard isit to fit a new head?
-
Depends on how rusty the manifold bolts are. Days job max if everything is easily removed.
-
what, bite his hand off! i bought mine for £1600 and it needed a fair few bits doing to it.
-
I got my Oak green 'valver for 320.00 with all the parts to repair. Tax and MOT too.
Still gives me a chuckle

Yeah, fair point, but that was the shoddy body shop

Looks tidy in the pics, buy buy buy!
-
on topic, yes I'd say worth a punt.
Even if it's a dog you'd make that back if you broke it
Research all the tools you need to tackle the job so you don't have to dash off mid job to the motofactors

looks a bargin and quite a rare colour swartz blu shocking wheels though ask for a discount to take them away. also before you order the cluctch take the gearbox off and check it is a 16v one as sooo many 16v's used to come in with a MK2 8v gearbox fitted which has a smaller input shaft, than a genuine 16v one.

ah the imfamous soft spoke

Looks like Maritimblue to me (LA5E). Didn't know that they used that on the GTI. Usually the CLs have this colour. Looks OK, but maybe re-sprayed?
-
the owner claims its "Ink blue" lol. and how can i know the difference between the gearboxes?
-
bargin mate, have the guys hand off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
