Title: space saver

Bought a 16v MkIII two weeks ago.  I got a puncture last night and noticed that the space saver isn't located thru the centre hole, but thru a stud hole instead. Is this the norm, or is it likely that my new motor has had some rear end damage. There's no other sign of any damage. Can anyone clear this theory for me please. :-\

Hi just to let you know mine is located through a stud hole as well and i know for a fact it is uncrashed as yet! ;D
