Remap = expect minor problems sorry to say.

A remap wont cause new problems, but it will show up weak parts or bring to light all underlaying issues.

Silly things like, coil packs, MAF, control valves, boost pipes, vac lines, breather pipes etc could be fine prior to the remap but as soon as your try to put a bit more power past them they could so up as a faulty item.

why?

have a look through the forum - plenty of people running remaps without any major issues.  You do get issues but you get that with any car and engine

what car do you have?

Problems with the 130tdi could be boost pipe clips which are 95p each or boost pipes £35-£45 each.

The worst outcome would be a slipping clutch.
