Hi guys.
Just got myself a '92 Mk3 GTI 8v. Have only had Corsas so far (not through personal choice!) so I'm new to both VWs and Golfs but have always liked them from a visual point of view. Can't drive it for insurance reasons until December so I've got plenty of time to get out the Haynes manual and fix the problems (perished rubber on the scuttle panel, electric windows, rear view mirror and a sticking sun roof). Been browsing the forum whilst I waited to collect it and think I've found out how to go about solving 1/2 the problems already.
