Had the bonnet and the wings resprayed following 4 years of chronic stone chips, and got some new wheels!
The outgoing 17"s with tyres weighed in at 20 Kg the BBS CVs and tyres were 20.5 Kg so very little change and doesn't feel much different to drive, if anything a bit sharper. (I specified exactly the same tyre Contisport 3)
I think the CHs would have been even nicer, but they were a bit pricey. Maybe not everyone's taste but I think the CVs give the car a smart mature look without being to flashy.

Not too keen on the rimmage! :undecided:
But the paintwork looks nice - who did that? East Bilney Coachworks?
-
No I guy in Heacham did it for me, he also part painted the rear bumper it looks good but I think it could be improved.
-
Can I ask how much it was for the respray?
I'm half-tempted to wait until the car is 4-5 years old and then give it a complete respray (incl removing old paint) to get rid of the nasty orange peel effect that's visible on the car.

well my car is just over 4 years old and it had more chips than Harry Ramsdens with one nasty dent right in the middle of the bonnet (caused by a rock)
The whole job was £400 for the bonnet the 2 front wings and painting of the back bumper, I think he said the bonnet by it self was about £120. He wanted it for 5 days with an extra day a week later for buffering.
The job on the bumper is ok but you can still see the texture of the plastic underneath but on the whole I am pretty satisfied.

Love the wheels
-
Makes it look like a GT wannabe GTI :undecided:
-
Dividing opinion as I predicted.
I think it is difficult to better the design of the Monzas but I have had 4 years looking at those and I fancied a change, but cost was a consideration as I wanted genuine not reps. (I feared reps would buckle on the sort of roads I drive on)
-
I think they are a good looking wheel. Maybe a few more pics would help??

Abit harsh.....................
Agree'd , some more pics please. Tidy looking and like the alloys
-
I will try and take some tomorrow at work if the weather is nice.
-
it had more chips than Harry Ramsdens
I really like those alloys - they're a bit different from all the usual rimmage.
I feel like I've seen a similar design before, but I can't quite place them...
-
Thanks for the replies/feedback, here are some more pics as requested for those interested.

I stand by my decision yesterday, I reeeeeaallly like 'em.

I really like those wheels
-
I wasn't too keen after seeing the first pics but quite like them after seeing these newer pics.
-
Good work on the new wheels. As much as I like the CHs I think you end up looking like an ED30 wannabe.
Still, I quite like them.
-
I like, looks good. But as mentioned it does make it look more like a GT than a GTI!
-
They're sort of slowly growing on me! :lipsrsealed:
-
i like the alloys. similar to the mk4 anni ones but a bit more curvy.
-
I really like those alloys, maybe my favourite BBS after the rx-2 split rim
-
nice
