Your prize was getting your GTI weeks and weeks before the rest of us
-
I've had mine since 29th July and done 466 do I get a medal for lease miles?? I am not allowed to drive at the moment due to an undiagnosed illness which causes blackouts. So although it's killing me guess it's for the best tho.
-
had mine exactly a week, just about to hit the 500 mile mark. not bad given i sat on my ar7e for two of the days this week!!
-
2 months next Saturday since I got mine. Currently on 1660. Should hit 2000 orgasmic miles by then!!!!
-
I have mine since July 31, and I have travelled 4736kms already. The car sounds really good these days. I just drove my BMW 525 and realised how quiet it is. The GTI is really loud... but I like it. Just was surprised to be in a quiet car this evening... when I can barely hear the engine...
-
Can't beat that but have managed nearly 3000 miles in 6 weeks. The engine feels much better now and it feels faster but with increased fuel consumption. I don't have any complaints at all, no rattles or loose trim and everything works as it should.
-
OK, clocked up 4000miles this weekend, am I still in the lead?
-
Looks like it, but I'm hot on your trail. I'm sure I'll regret the heavy mileage somewhere down the line.

Wow!!! Assuming that's a Sat and Sun, it works out at 2,000 miles per day. Assuming you drove 24 hours per day, that works out at 83.333 miles per hour. Plenty of Red Bull?

No mate, it had 3500 on it on Friday!!! 4000 now!

Gotcha, understood

Now I've finally got round to picking mine up, I can beat you all! I went for an ex-demo for many (cheapskate) reasons and mine after a trip or two is now on just under 7000 miles. I could be the first on here to need a service!

4k? OMG! I only did about 6k all year last year!

I bought a Scirocco with 800 miles on it last November, chopped it in for the GTI in June with 13200 on it so I do a few miles here and there.......

When you mean loud, do you mean road noise or is it just the engine noise? I like engine noise but hate road noise as in the MKV.
-
There is no road noise in the mk6, there is a faint rumble from the exhaust which I am told improves in sound as the miles pile on. The cabin is one of the quietest I've been in and a great deal better than the mk5

I meant the road noise and not so much the engine... I dont mind the engine growl but the road noise is really bad especially on highways and when you are travelling at 140 km/h... with the wind noise as well... yup, you can hardly hear yourself think...

Dare I ask this but can the MKVI GTI be clocked by somebody who knows what they are doing with the right software?
