Thanks, I can feel a petition to VW coming on...

I don't quite understand your question, but the tyres on the Interlagos wheels are Pirelli P Zeros. Monzas get Bridgestone Potenzas, Continental SportContacts or, if you're lucky, Michelin Pilot Sports.

P Zero whats?  Rossos, Neros?

I don't think Pilot Sports were ever factory fitted - they were Pilot Exaltos, which is one step below the Sports. :nerd:

And if you are unlucky, you'll get the Dunflop ShyteMaxx

I got dunlops and kicked up a right fuss at dealers to no avail. Quoting you guys off this forum. Didn't get me anywhere. I got told VW wouldn't put them on the GTI if they wernt up to the job.
I went on to state others had contact 3's etc.. and why not mine And he couldn't give me an answer

I've done 3500 miles on the Dunlops and think they are a great tyre, others disagree but it's your car with your tyres so you be the judge.  I was gutted too when I saw them but they've been just fine.

Have you worn them down so that the outer blocks are closed from the radial groove?  And have you used them in earnest in the wet yet?

T_T has a lot of knowledge but seems to think he knows even more than he does. I'm quite sure he's never tested all these tyres himself.

Wow, deja vu! We already had this 'discussion' on another thread.  TT doesn't like the Dunlops (like a lot of other people it seems too) but for me on my remapped MK6 they feel just fine.

Let's not start slating peeps because of their opinion or we'll be here all day...

Yes, I know.  But as I quite legitimately explained, I sometimes have a pretty useless STM. :embarassed:  I CBA to explain why!

It isn't other peeps 'opinions' which I have a prob with (hence why I asked the question a few posts earlier with a smilie at the end).  But when some tw@t makes personal accusations of what I have, or have not done  - then I think I'm perfectly justified to slate said person.  And this is NOT directed at you, Gossa.
