I'm a total noob to all this stuff so was just wondering if it is possible to rip the carpets out of a mk5 and replace them with red carpet? Any idea how much the carpets would cost?
-
A fair wack as it would be a custom job.
You want an all red car?

Just want the carpets and maybe the door trim in red, it's a white car. I'm not worried about how much it will cost to fit as my mate will do it for me, just need to get an idea of carpet costs, is it going to be an arm and a leg :(

Surely its just a case of carefully removing the seats etc and the existing carpet and buying a new piece from local carpet warehouse and going at it with scissors and a stanley knife, using existing as template to cut out right shape. I done that with a carpet in my old saxo. Carpet was shot to pieces and got a nice black one and fitted it no problem.
Used some ultra thin blocks of insulation for added comfort and reduce road noise.

its going to need to be moulded to look decent though.. my mate did this in his mk1.. but i dont think it would look so good in a mk5.
