Title: ACC and 19' alloys
Post by: Fred_du_94 on 07 September 2009, 20:07
Hi,

Has anybody fitted 19' alloys while having the ACC option ?

Any issues to report ?

Cheers

I guess the only issues would be if the weight of the wheel and tyre were significantly different - that would change the unsprung weight and might affect the ride a little. A significantly heavier wheel/tyre combo could make the ride in Comfort a little bouncier. I think... Where's T_T when you need him?

On the subject of ACC, does anyone know if any of the suspension manufacturers plan to make an ACC compatible kit?

Providing you get alloys from a quality manufacturer, then wheel weights should be fairly similar.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your answers.

Basically the combination ACC+ 19' alloys on the G6 GTI is possible.
I was asking this because on the VW Scirocco this combination is simply not possible. Not too sure why though...

Cheers

Yup.  Just make sure you keep the rolling radiuses the same.
