Title: VAG-com acceleration function
Post by: AudiA8Quattro on 06 September 2009, 20:56
Has anyone tried this? its awesome
0-60, 30-70,quarter mile, or you can measure anything you want.
Just taken out the A8 and a mk3 vr6.
A8 did 0-60 6.9 secs, 30-70 6.3 secs.
Vr6 did 0-60 7.9 secs, 30-70 8.0 secs.

I was just trying it on a dual carriageway, so times could still be improved, and the A8 has got 2 month old fuel in it
This works on version 704 or newer, it will work on any car that has an electronic speedo(i think).
You can access it by going into measuring blocks on any module that displays road speed, then press the acceleration button.

www.chinavasion.com

£30 for a fully registered VAG-com 704, you can't update it though.

Yes, those are the headline figures, now tell us the -+ figures alongside them, because without those that data is not information, it's junk.

Ok Mr.negative
The +- figure is 0.1 of a second.
I don't know how accurate it is, however the figures are close to factory figures, and its a hell of alot of fun.
Also i've found it works in generic OBDII mode, so i should be able to test anything with an OBDII port.
