if i were to have me car resprayedin a totally different colour what areas would you check to see if it were a respray? areas the body shop wouldn't spray or be able to spray? e.g would they spray under the hood or in the door sills etc? thanx guy's

I would check for lines in the door shuts.
It is likely that they didnt spray the door shuts, and if they did then its still likely they didnt spray where the hinges go if they sprayed them at all.
-
door cards off and look underneath
-
Also check for a line on the inner wing, as its very likely the engine bay wouldnt of been sprayed.
-
under boot floor carpet
under plastic wheel arch liners

thats good so it aint to easly spotted i.e if i got a respray wouldn't be a case of pop the hood and oooooops :embarassed: its a different colour under lol or open the door and oooooops :embarassed: :embarassed: its a different colour inside the car doors lol so basically a body shop would spray every bit they could get to?

No, they would only paint as far as you pay them to paint! painting the entire shell inside out could take up to 2/3 times longer than a regular repaint, and easily double what you spend on paint and materials, let alone the extra labour cost... unless you want a cheap and cheerful colour change, where quality isn't that important, or you have the funds available for a full blown show standard paint, then it really is more trouble than its worth

As above they will only paint so far.

The cost is all in the amount you strip out.
To do an engine bay you would have to take the engine out to make it perfect!
So yes if you have it sprayed a different colour then it can be easily spotted.

I would check the paint code and DVLA's history of the car colour - pretty easy one.
