The last time I posted on here I had my blue mk4 2.0gti, Since then I have had a 1.8 non turbo GTi, A Bora TDi & finally the other week I bought a Gti 1.8t
After owning my Bora TDi for a few months I got bored of the diesel & decided I wanted a GTI, So I sold it & went & after a few days of hard looking I bought a 51 plate 5 door silver GTi.
So from this

Plans are Anni rear valance & Side skirts that I already have (just waiting for them to be painted) A modded Black & silver grill, rear spoiler, Eventually either an Anni front or Vortex front valance, Lowered 30 mm. Then ill be happy with it
-
nice to see you have bought a proper fueled car diesel lads will be along soon
-
I did enjoy the fuel consumption of the Bora & it was a very clean car. When I got it the car was totally standard & only had 68k on it, But after fitting Recaro's, VW Sat Nav, A set of alloys then all the other styling things I wanted to do were big money, So I decided to sell it & get the GTi, Only cost me £100 to go from the Bora to the Golf aswell. :smug:

Ive got a full G-max kit that I bought off Patch but with it fitted I think ill have issues getting on & off the driveway, Especially if I have the Anni front valance fitted aswell, Might just get some 25 or 30mm springs & use the rest of the G-max set up with them.
-
Fitted a smaller stubby style ariel that was origionally for the the Toyota IQ, Same reception quallity as the original VW one but looks alot better,
-

-
Nice work mate, its coming along nicely!
just out of intrest how much did you pay to have the rear valance and front spliter sprayed?
-
The guy who painted them took my old monty 2 wheels off me in return for painting the rear valance, front valance & side skirts, The old wheels were rotten so not really worth anything so he only wanted them for the tyres
-
Just a few small changes this month
First was my "Free" Parrott hands free kit

Next came my front arm rest.

I hae a bit of an issue with getting on & off the Driveway as it is so if I lower it then it will be even harder, I need to look into it though as ive already got a complete set up that i bought off Patch that he used to have o nhis car & that did sit quite low.
-
oh yes i no the driveway routine very well:angry::laugh:
ive been through 2 anni front splitters in the space of 6 months lol one time i fitted my coilovers on the Sunday dropped it 60mm (it was on its arse lol) left it over night, woke up late for work in the morning got in my car sped off and ripped my anni front splitter clean off lol! not very happy and the second time was over a speed bump that cracked my oil sump as well! lol
-
Thats the main reaon im not too bothered about lowering it, Might try & find some Anni springs as I belive they sit 25mm lower than the standard GTi anyway
-
Give that suspension a try fella,it'll look awesome sat down
-
It would look better lowered

Space that rear wheel out 15-20mm and your laughing
-
Cant do that in photoshop :embarassed:
Would like it actually done on the car though, The wheels do sit in a little bit on the rear
