Title: help needed i have a mk4 turbo

that has see the wroung side of a heage

its not a nice site at the mo but i am rebuilding it back up

the prob i have it will not start now or should i say it starts runs for 1 sec then cuts out  :angry:

is the a safety device on there that shuts the car down

any help will be good as not no much about golfs as had subaru's

yep - had the same problem with my mates

Your ECU and clocks need recoding to each - best bet is to find someone local to you with VAGCOM who will do it for a few beer tokens :afro:

got a mate coming over tomorrow night with one 8/9/09 so lets hope we can get it right

mate came down with dio and it came up with 0 cant find a problem

he never have a VAGCOM but had  2 diagnostic machine 1 of snapon one of a vw one

still no go

it started then cut out and now it will not start at all

but if i leave it for a bit it will start for a sec

think i will have to take to vw then i have finshed repairing it

just to let u al know

the car is now running

it was all but one spark plugs

put this down to where the car has not been started for 10 weeks and been turning the ignition on and off the fuel blown the plugs

so all good now

just got to finish doing all the repairs to get her on the road
