what's about the cheapest you can get one for?
-
My Old man picked up a 52 plate 130 Bora with 100K on the clock for £3K about 2 years ago. Bora's are cheaper and IMO better looking.

Harsh so harsh.............................true so true.....

Well in that case I got a crazy price about 5 weeks ago, £4600 with 70k on the clock, mind you it had just had loads of work done on it like, MOT, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, full service, new cat, roll links.
Have recently had a crazy offer on my current 130 pd on an 02, trust me it's a crazy price so may have to let it go.
If the deal goes through i'll post the price, make sure your seated as the price is quite wild LOL
-
cool my tdi 130's worth more than i thought then, only done 61k
Not selling it though
-
Lads remember it'll only be worth as much as the buyer wnats to pay for it.
Trust me there are some peoplke out there gagging for a puka tdi with low miles or even with 100k but in pukka condition.
It's all down to luck when buying and selling.

its about knowing your market and who you can sell your car to for the best possible price
A standard car will generally be easier to sell and acheive more money
Looks like I'll have to keep mine a bit longer :undecided:
-
Rhyso i'd happily buy your car if it was up for grabs :)
You thinking of selling?

LOL I got excited until I scrolled down, cheeky fooker :)
couldn't resist haha
I go through phases when I think of selling it but then a few things stop me
a) prices are rock bottom and being fairly modified I'd be limiting my market
b) what do I replace it with
c) how can i afford to replace it lol
Therefore it will have to last me a little while longer

Same here, if I sell it in two years time it will have 180k+ on it :lipsrsealed:

Sorry for resurrecting dead threads but I've been thinking about getting a mk4 tdi and having only bought mk2's and mk3's, basically is this a scam as it seems almost too cheap?
Been driving my ol'dears octavia tdi aka a mk4golf in disguise last few weeks whilst my mk2's off the road and the realisation of possibly getting one as a reliable daily if they are this sort of price??
Could I be seriously considering defecting to the dark side...?

The link don't work mate
-
I'm looking about at the moment, ideally want a GT TDI 130 and have about 4500 to play with
Am hoping that'll be enough to get something with less than 90k on the clock
-

Sorry bout that, it was a mk4 gt tdi 130 80k 5 door black and £2200ono  Thought it would be too cheap tbh. But there are a few on autotrader etc.

Does sound too cheap mate, what year was it?

That should get you a tidy 130 mate, some people may say that is a little too much but I searched really hard in every corner of the country to get a good one with low miles like 60-70k and between 4k and 4.5k was where the good one's were.
I bought my last one for 4.3k done some work and ended up selling it for 4650, so they do and can go for in this region of money if low miles fsh and rest of the stuff.
For that dough you should get some extras like the winterpack which is really good to have to warm your arse up on these cold mornings :)

That does sound very cheap, depends on what year it is.
I realised when looking to buy one that if it was a PD engine like 02 onwards I think, they were quite a bit more money, in some cases the difference between a 51 plate and an 02 plate was like 1k
