Title: Quick response needed: Removing door card + inner plate of rear door on MK4

Having a few problems with the indoor handle that opens the rear door. Thought id have a little investigation so have removed the door card but cant seem to remove the metal plate that sits behind it. I undid the bolts and pulled it away but the windows starts to drop as i move it away plus theres a few other things that seem to be in the way.

Can anyone run me through what i need to do to get that off.
