but search more i did and found the answers i needed
-
How much difference is there really between mine and a g60 brake, just out of interest.

night - day

Oh right, that actually answers my question in a language i understand, thanks.

mahhhhhhooooosavely better :)
i cooked my 8v ones on the nurbugring and so as soon as we limped home i bought a G60 set from a local VW breaker and i was off , you will need the flexis also :)
-
im glad thsi has been bought up as i was goin to start a thread hope u dont mind me butting in
i have justput 280 corrado g60s on mine got issues with my bbs s dont fit tho there are standard 15" mk2 golf bbs alloys the flexi rubs on the inside of the wheel and the wheel once tight just gets stuck on the caliper i believe any way round it as they look the nuts and as every one else has said ment to stop on a penny
cheers lee

get sum bigger wheels
-
i got some poop 15s that fit
i will be willing to swap them with your BBS wheels for you
as a favour like
-
So not all 15's fit then? is it to do with the offset or the actual inside diameter of the wheel. I'm running a set of mim 1900's with et13 and planning on putting on a mk3 280mm set-up, do you guys think they'll go on?
-
do you have the proper metal hardlines from the caliper to the flexis, you can put the flexi straight into the caliper but you really should have the hardline extender to move the flexi clear of the wheel
-
i kept it all original (from the G60) metal pipes for the caliper to the bracket , then flexis , then to the master cylinder ,
they all say you need a bigger master cylinder because of the fluid dispersion ,
so i bought a new one but my 8v had the 22mm one on it already and i have a spare now LOL
-
the 22mm master cyl is very advisable, bit more feel and less pedal travel. tho i'm going for a 23.5mm one as soon as get round to fitting as thats what was used on the ABF'ed seats with 280mm brakes hopefully i'll get a bit less pedal travel and more feel again :)
-
danny, are the 23.5 m/s's from non pas abs ibiza's and toledo's?
-
the one i have here is cordoba, the car it's off had pas and abs. on the cordoba it's made of ali unlike the tolado one whitch is cast iron and twice the weight
