Title: Red LED on driver's door

So I was out for a drive the other night and it was dark. I noticed that the red LED on the driver's door (the one that flashes when the car is locked) was illuminated. It was constantly on and couldn't get it to go off (tried locking/unlocking doors).

In the end I stopped, turned the engine off, key out, locked, unlocked, drove off again, and it had gone off. Any ideas? It's only done it the once as far as I know.

Had a flick through the manual and couldn't see anything.

There is a known problem with the red LED staying on all the time - VW have previously issued a TSB on this very issue.  I had this on mine, and the door lock module needed replacing,

my 07 model year does it once every few months, after you lock and unlock it goes back to normal.  never bothered complaining about it.

Thanks for the info.

As I say it's the first time it has done it, and doesn't seem to affect anything else.

My warranty has just run out, so I guess I will live with it  :rolleyes:
