Title: Exterior door trims
Post by: pablo64 on 02 September 2009, 09:02
Hi, just like to say thanks for a very helpful and informative site, back to the question in hand, had some insurance work done at richard alexander in huddersfield done passenger side, that was about a couple of months ago, dont recomend them to be honest but nevermind, the trim that runs down side of doors has started to come away what holds trim on i can see a clip type that looks like you push it in to door but it pops out again, theres abit of double sided sticky tape is that suppose to be there or is it another bodge by them, cheers

It should only be held on with the clips, you can get new clips and grommets from vw cheap enough, don't bother with the ebay ones as they don't last.
