Hi all,
I'm booked in to do a trackday at Spa in early October on the way back from the Nurburgring. Has anyone done a trackday there before and has anyone any track specific tips for what to expect?
Having seen it from this weekends F1 GP it looks a pretty fast track, so any info about extra prep for top speed running would be good too.
Cheers

never been, but i would advise you to find a few onboard vids of cars similar to yours and watch them repeatedly.
and if you take eau rouge flat you instantly gain legendary status
if your gonna be flat out for most of it check your cooling system is working well, maybe add an extra oil cooler if you havent already

Wow that sounds fun. Make sure you got plenty of tyres, the ring and then Spa will probably kill at least one set of fronts if not two.

Talk to people on justgofaster.com - plenty of people there who've done it.

Thanks for the tips so far fella's
The car will be going in it's current "pre big turbo" set up, but I still have reservations about taking the R888's to the 'ring in early October as I understand that it can get a little hairy with leaves, standing water etc at that time of year.
I've also been practicing Spa on Race Driver GRID on the XBox 360, just to get an idea of corners etc and to get to know the track a little better. This way I'll at least know the route
Nick - If I don't kill at least 1 set of fronts I'll be upset

The R888s should be OK unless you find some standing water, which is fairly unlikely unless you're first out, or you're out in heavy rain. If you do run more 'road biased' tyres they'll probably be OK - the 'ring has quite a lot of space between the corners, so you're unlikely to kill tyres like you would on a short UK circuit.
