just wonderin how the gear knob comes off? is it a pull off or a twist off?

You have to upclip and lift up the leather gaiter over the knob.  this will expose a ring clip that has been crimped.  Carefully using a flat screwdriver, open up the ring clip.  this will allow the gear knob to smply pull off.

If you were careful with your screwy, then the clip can be reused with aid of a set of pliers.

just took the camera outside to take a picture of the shifter assembly, then remembered my car is at the body shop and im still driving around in the bloody touran  :'( lol

lol thanx guys glad i no now..its just where i work i can get free momo gear knobs but they screw on...nxt question how can i change the wood look parts ?
