Title: Another fine job done - Remap
Post by: rakesh27 on 01 September 2009, 16:18
Anyways this morning i had my remap done by Ben.

I thought when he connected the vagcom it would throw up all sorts of code but too my and his surprise only 2 codes came up.

When he did a reset one code went away and the other was the throttle body needed cleaning, which Ben couldnt do since some sort of problem with the vagcom (not having the full version).

He did the remap around 190bhp to 200bhp on a AGU which took mins, not like i was expecting 2 hours work, Ben says your cars in good condition no problems at all.

We then went for a spin and i couldnt believe the beast has been transformed, the car felt so effertless when picking up speed i could feel the boost kick in which felt very impressive.

From before you could feel the car pickup but had to deal with the weight and now easily it just goes, today on the way to work i had to pick up quickly to beat the lights changing and boy it was very fast pickup, all i can say now this is a proper turbo.

Ben if you read this the car is stable now the revs are not jumping its staying quite normal, i will also see when i leave work tonight, i think its adapted.

Thanks for the remap im well impressed, you know i got the panel filter and dv do i hear the noise when i lift of the accelerator when pushing my car to the limits.

Hello M8

I am glad your happy with the remap and service from Ben, He is doing me proud..

My fault with Vagcom.. :embarassed:  I took the code of that laptop bacuase I thought the come port was fecked , only to fine a naffed wire in the lead and the lead would not work on the rolling road pc.

Any problems or question you have our number and you can call or text anytime.

Thank you for your custom.

Nick

Nick & Ben,

Im loving the extra power now, the revs have settled down, its driving very smoothly and once the foot goes down i feel the boost and really shifts.

Your right about petrol, i noticed yesterday when giving it some the needle started to drop, thanks for the service.

My mate has a 180bhp and thinking of stage 1 remap golf 1.8t, what would be the end result if he had it done.

Thanks

The boost and fuel maps are aiming for 197bhp, the rest all depends on the engine, temps and the fuel your using. Some cars will make the 197bhp with ease some will only make 185bhp using the exact same software.
If you get your car on the rolling road and you see anywhere between 188-197bhp you should be happy.
