no the tdi has 256mm discs (vented or solid) same as the 1.8

my 96 mk3 tdi (estate) had 239's
now has 256's  :cool:

mine's a tdi (hence the name ;) ) So i'll have 256mm discs?

Can I fit bigger discs and not change anything else?

gtis have 280s or 288s depending on the year.  best thing to do is go look at your car, armed with a tape measure, or a camera ;)
