Title: AUM TB on AGU engine
Post by: golf-sib on 31 August 2009, 22:40
I noticed that the AGU and AUM TB's have different part numbers, but they look the same from vacuum connection to connector, only difference is the motor mechanism (not sure on diameters):

AUM: 06A133064J
AGU: 06A906018G (or ends with F if its the Cruise control type)

If it does fit will it work on my AGU as I got the "G" type at the moment without cruise control, so will the AUM one which has cruise control by standard work and if I cannot source a "G" type, will the "F" type work?

Many Thanks in advance

No because the AGU has a throttle cable the AUM does not

i doubt you'll find the F type, they were bloody rare.. i had an AGU with cruise but have never come across another one, it also uses a different ECU so i doubt it'll work.

aum won't work, as you need a cable operated throttle.. aum is fly by wire.

Thanks again!

Didn't know autotrader did a parts section, getting to old and out of touch at the age of 20

What categories did you find the TB in if you don't mind me asking?
