Elo all.
Yesterday I became the proud owner of a tatty MK3 GTI. I set out to find a bargain, something I could tidy up and put my mark on. I found a MK3 GTI not far from me and bagged it for £430. The only things wrong with the car was some slight cosmetic damage and it needing a bloody good clean.
I have spent the whole of today stripping the interior and giving it a good clean out. It looks like a totally different car already !

Photos mate, wheres the photos?
I've got a filthy mk3 too :grin:

Welcome Buddy :smiley:
-
Haha, thanks for the welcome so far lads.
@Rob
Damn, I knew I should have taken some pics prior to cleaning.
It was in a right state, actually I was quite offended the previous owner made no effort at all to make it presentable but hey. It was as if he was breeding cows in the back !

Pictures of my shed this weekend, along with project plans etc.
@Len;
Are the boat comments directed at my profession, or is it some sort of VW joke !?
Its nearly midnight so my brain isn't functioning at the moment.

Hah, nope, i drove a hard bargain when i bought the car, took advantage of the previous owners student status.
Went on a shopping spree this evening, bought the following;
Spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap and arm, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, -60mm suspension kit, trim clips, towing eye cover, new door lock pins, new head lights, cleaner interior, fitted mats and a set of euro plates.
Im bidding on a brand new wing and a set of primed doors !
Project is under way with a vengeance.

Boat comment - refers to the handling of Mk 3's by the very unkind other Mk owners! (mainly Mk 2's) :angry:
