Right on wednesday I pick up my first Golf its a mk4 3dr 2.0 115bhp. I believe the colour is ink blue? Anyway I hav ebeen looking at tuning parts i.e wheels and lowering , valances etc.
My questions are:-
1) can you lower the golf with 45mm springs on 18s without replaceing the arb?
2) where can you get the anniversary valances and sideskirts from?
And finally has anyone got a ink blue mk4 with bbs style wheels on?

Couldnt afford it mate to be honest Ive done a deal on my escort rs2000 mk6. and with 2 children poss 3 im not worried about speed just love the mk4!

Those wheels won't fit though mate, they are 5x112 not the 5x100 you'll need

weird how it says 5x100 in subtitle at top and 5x112 in the description!
i'd message the seller and check what PCD they are first!

why does everyone bang on about a 2 litre being so slow. some of us are not really interested in speed but love the look of mk4s can we not just appreciate everyones different. :smiley:

1) Because they ARE slow & embarrass the GTI badge! :D
2) We can appreciate your comment (ETTO etc.), but that doesn't change them from being slow! :P :laugh:

I have a 2.slow and as much as I love my baby - I will be changing to a 1.8t once I'm 21 :) hopefully the same color so the anni kit can be movvveeddd across!

Not banging out just pointing out that a remap would be pointless, because the gains would be little.

it does make quite a difference actually... not an amazing transformation by any means, but improves the drive a fair bit!
