Title: Fault codes!

I keep getting the same fault code 16500 = Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Implausible Signal, ive changed the temp sensor (genuine one) and erased the code but it keeps comming up!
plus got a new one 00543 = engine exceded maximum speed (sound's scary!)

any ideas how to fix? :wink:

already looked on ross-tech mate! just wanted to no why the 16500 fault code keeps coming up when ive relpaced the sensor and what the 00543 codes means as theres nothing on ross tech! :wink:

got a multi-meter??

to me it sounds like you've got a broken wire or poor contact going to the sensor  :undecided:

exceeded maximum speed is just the result of the remap raising your rev limiter... vw put it in there for warranty claims. go above the rev limit = warranty void!
