You booked before the 28th so you'll still qualify for the August £50 discount offer

£150 for AGU map + £40 mobile cost + £34 filter = £224

fitting the dv will cost a cup of coffee and a biscuit (type of biscuit depends on if it's Nick or Ben that come to you  )

Nice one topher,

im glad i checked the price again, i say this cos when i booked in originally i cant remember who Nick or Ben said £275.

Could you please def confirm that it will be £225 and let whoever comes knows as well, the tea and bikkie thing, its gonna be hard since its getting done in the car park near work.

If i got time ill pop to the cafe and get them the tea, also topher on the remap will they have to do a few power runs to see how things turn out, only since the car park has speed bumps and the floor is crap, its ripping up, large stones everywhere.

Again please confirm the price, thanks dude.

Nick will probably see this later today or tomorrow, only reason i can think of anyone telling you 275 is if you told them it was for a DBW (arz/aum/auq) engine. I'll give him a buzz tomorrow if he misses this thread and re-confirm the price.
Don't worry about the test runs they'll take good care of your motor - but obviously they'll have to give it a bit of welly once it's on a flat piece of road, so they'll have to leave the car park if it's not suitable - it's the only way to tell if your engine has responded well to the software and will show up any underlying faults you may have with your car.

Cool, thanks,

im just worried since ive got new rims on my car, when exiting the car park its alittle tight since it has curbs either side of you when entering or exiting.

Ive heard so many good things about you, i just hope my baby (car) will take to the remap and all is good, i cant wait.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated and have a good bank holiday

+1 £224 all inc a for a mobile remap and Filter on a AGU Golf .

We need to have somewhere to test the car before the remap and after the remap.  Is this poss?  If not you will have to bring the car to us.

Nick

i'm just the go-between mate, you need to speak to Nick direct for that. You MIGHT be able to get him on his mobile during the day tomorrow - his number is in the 'contact and info' post at the top of this forum section. You've left it a bit late to be sorting this stuff out especially with the bank holiday messing things up - it should take less than 2 hours but as long as you don't have to pay or deal with security to get in-out of the car park you don't have anything to worry about, they're golf lovers and will take extra care not to graze your wheels as long as you point out just how tight the exit is when they turn up.

No worries, ill leave the remap for work, theres a car park next to my work car park, when Nick or Ben turn up ill say go inthere and ill meet them with my car.

This car park is always empty and very easy to get in and out.

Anyways i hope all goes well for my car, do you reckon with the pipecross panel filter and 007p i will get alittle noise, i dont mind so much just not tooo much noise (try not to get the attent of the rozza;s)

you'll hear it with the windows down, but its not loud or chavvy. There are other mods you can do further down the line to get more air flowing through the system which increase the dump noise and induction roar.

Topher,

When i spoke to you Nick or Ben i cant remember now, they said if i got a CAI i would loose alot on performance.

So at the time i havent bothered with the CAI and gone for the pipecross panel filter, i do want some noise from the panel filter + DV.

You said i will be able to hear with windows down, so does that mean if i was giving it some in my car it would be alittle louder then driving normally.

basically yes.

the more beans you give it, the more volume of air will get dumped and the noise will echo around your intake/through the filter

just pootle around town and stay off the boost and you'll be practically in stealth mode

man sounds like something out of airwolf :) LOL, thanks for advice im glad i replaced the re-circ valve for a 007p + yellow spring, i was unsure first since some people say with a AGU engine you can use a re-circ valve but inthe long run the 007p is better.
