Title: Karmann Fog Light

Does any one know where to get a rear fog light in fit in a mk 1 gti cab with a karmann kit? Or if a standard 1 will fit?

sort of the same subject i think.   do u have to have a rear fog for the mot?  mines held onto the bodykit with a screw and it looks proper crap and falls off fairly reguarly to.  did the later cabs have them moulded into the kit?  looks like ads is blended in.

might be worth me doing this at some point to make the the look smoother i guess

Sorry folks, i'm new to the site and still trying to work it all out.

The problem is the rear foggy i've got at the moment looks proper crap, i want to get another 1 but wondered if i could get 1 that would fit into the karmann bodykit?

The one I have is just bolted to the car like any other mk1, but the bumper is actually shaped around where the light sits, so looks like it is meant to be part of the kit.
Yes Vix, you do need a rear fog light for an MOT, it is the reverse light that is not a requirement.

I broke the lense in mine last year but had to buy another full fog light as you can't just buy the lenses. VW had them in but I think they are about ?15 and like Adam said, the body kit shapes round it and it bolts to the back valance.
