right i have found this
http://www.parts4euro.com/DCShop/product_info.php?products_id=609
my question is my mk4 golf euro spec and if not what is the difference and why is the euro spec bumper shorter?
-
Your's is Euro spec as it was bought in Europe. US spec R32 bumpers have side markers.
-
nice one, may look at getting one shipped over. Just check on exchange rate first
-
that isn't a genuine R32 bumper, thats an ABS copy, note the word "style" in the name and the missing holes for the washer jets and the supplied "metal mesh"
i'd forget all the hassle of getting that shipped over and just keep an eye on ebay, genuine ones pop up at least 1 a week minimum!

Doesn't have the side markers in :undecided:

euro spec ones dont have side markers do they. The one on my old car didnt have them.
its very rare ones come up on ebay and they go for anywhere between 250 - 400 quid.
-
Euro bumpers don't have side markers, only USA spec ones do.
Genuine R32 bumpers are on eBay, I paid £180 for mine including all grilles, washerjet covers and number plate plinth.
ABS ones look slightly different to OEM ones and like the crap GRP ones, never fit 100% right. Save your pennies and get a proper one!

US bumpers also stick out further than euro versions, this is down to the US having stricter rules regarding crash protection, they have a bigger crash bar over there and need a bigger bumper to accommodate it.

Thanks for that guys, well will have to rethink and look for gen item.
