I hope someone can advise me..
I've detected a slight knocking noise coming from the from wheels but I can seem to find where its coming from.It doesn't happen when I rock the car and I had the suspension shocks changed about 6 months ago.Seems to only be noticable when going over small bumps.
I'm thinking possibly wishbones?
Cheers as usual

Wishbone or ARB bushes :undecided:

Sounds like an anti roll bar drop link.
-
Cheers...an expensive fix?
-
No. Shouldn't cost more than £50ish fitted.
Thats for one side, probably best to do both.
I could be wrong though, not sure how much the links cost on a mk4.
Simple to fit.

Many thanks again..
I dont suppose anyone knows if I need 21mm or 23mm -apparently theres 2 sizes.
My cars a 2000 Mk4 Bora by the way

sounds to me like it could be your bushes!
Mine did it, starts off not too bad then gets worse over time!

Mine was knocking, turned out the bolt had fallen off the ARB drop link!! £10 for a new one, then fit it yourself.

this is exactly how mine started wasnt to bad then got really bad over time had to have rear bushes one. it sometimes not a cheap fix drop my rear axle my self cleaned all down repainted it then got my mate to press the rear bushes in as i didnt fancy hammering them in i got the olds ones out with a little bit of heat an chisle. looks wicked now thought alot smoother ride still got a little bit bumpy ride but i put that down to the 18 inch wheels it cost me in total 40 quid to have the bushes pressed in cheers
