to be honest mate dont think you'll find many people that have done that, simply for the reason that a mk1 is a classic car, not a kev car.

im honestly not tryin to insult you, just think that if you start goin down that route you'll be seriously F'ing up an awesome car!!!

Have you checked out cleaned.be? Seen a few polo's suicided.

Also there is a how to on a US site re minitrucks as it's quite a popular mod with that lot.

If you said diablo doors, then yeah that's pretty chavvy max power p!sh, but suicided is old hot rod style, done right can look killer.

I looked into myself for my mk2 and would defo consider it. was going to suicide the reas and keep the fronts the normal ahla Tempest GTO.

There's also a cream coloured german mk2 a few months years back in PVW if you look at back issues.

But from my investigation it's pretty straight forward, just need time/space/welding skillzz

Might be going mad but I believe that to be legal they have have some form of deadlock so they cannot fly open whilst driving, I had a mate with a hot rod and he a few issues mot and police wise.

lol
That's alway the last thing I think of re MOT/ Police

However my local plod have always been helpful when I've given them a ring to see what's ok/ what's not and what they'll turn a blind eye to

Keep us posted on the build.

If you ignore the way it's written and purely as a how-to it's not too bad

this was the one I was thinking of before

that's how for now

I know that it'll be covered in the fitting of the doors, but I think you'll need to reinforce the 'B' pillars big time, they are only just about man enough to hold the door catch, let alone the weight of a door.

Post ya pics when done, should look really cool.
