Title: alarm and central locking problem

hi am new to the forum and i have just recently bought a 1989 gti 16v after 2 days my central locking will not work when i press the button but the alarm and immobiliser will. the central locking will work when i use the key but when i get in and try and start it the immoboliser is on so i then press the button and try to start it and then the alarm goes off.the alarm is a toad c5t2.would really appreciate some advice please ???

oh yeah when the immobiliser is on and you want to start it, try turning the ignition key as if you are gonna start it but then press the button to disarm it, this should stop the alarm going off
