Read somewhere that you can use the above de-cat downpipe on my '96 AHU TDi - This right?
Shouldn't I just use a mk3 decat pipe?
Also, is my exhaust set up on the diesel similar to an 8v/16v set up?
Thanks

Don't see it fitting to be honest, back box will be the same rest of system will / may be different.

Cat back your system is the same as the VR/16v system

Okay so I can use a VR6/16v performance exhaust system from the cat back? Then use a vr6/16v decat pipe for the front? What about any possible manifold options?
Thanks

No point in changing the manifold as it is the downpipe that will cause the most issues.

so there's no 4-branch type option?
what is the downpipe upgrade? wider pipe, decat or both?

The manifold on yours is a different set up as it is a short unit with the turbo bolted to it.

so basically no upgrade options then :)

Not sure, but have a good look around and see if you can get a better downpipe that will help.
