right ever since ive owned my mk3 its been a tad sluggish. the torque used to drop off around 3'000rpm and come back at about 4.5k but not in great force.
i just assumed this was the way they ran.
but after driving it last night it seemed even more reserved. i was talking about it to one of my mechanic mates when we were hanging out and he told to me to try unplugging the airmass sensor. i did and jesus christ! its about the equivalent of adding 25 brake to my car, its so much more responsive, more power, no lag, its amazing!
i guess there was no real point for this topic but im just so happy i feel like i have to tell you lads

Remember to disconnect the battery for half an hour after fitting new maf so ecu forgets old settings.

Hi there guys, got same problem with my mk3 after 3000 rpm very poor performance. If unplug air mass sensor and try it do I need to reset ecu when unplugged or should I notice difference straight away if it is faulyt.
