I just got insured with Adrian Flux, but need to send a copy of my NCB, but that was one of the Admiral jobbies which was a 10 months accelerator. Is this likely to be found out? On the NCB form I have it doesn't say anything on the sheet as to whether is was 10 months or 12.

Doesnt it have the start and end dates on it?

when they contact admiral, they will tell them- FACT :wink: so you DONT have a years NCB :grin:

I had this problem with a Bell policy NCB and had it turned down.

You need to supply proof of NCB or they will contact you last insurer to confirm it.
When I joined the AA they rung my last insurer whilst I was on the phone to confirm it, so I think you will not get away with it plus they may even read this thread. :laugh:

Being honest, if it's not accepted, I'll have to cancel it and find someone who will accept it, I can't afford to REDO another year to get 1 year, that's taking the piss lol! So we will see.

I don't think they will to be honest as 1 year needs to be a complete year (12mths).

RESULT!
Well basically rang up and said "Do you accept the 10 month NCB from someone like Admiral/Bell etc." Was told no but put me on hold for a bit.
Came back saying she spoke to a supervisor and that they would accept the 10 month as a proof of discount, and keep my rate the same as is, but it wouldn't be classed as a one year, so I'd be starting a new one year with Adrian Flux. However, even though this might seem bad, the 10 month accelerator I did have would of only been able to be used on someone like Admiral. With AF I'm covered much better, and mods like for like. At less than what a renewal is with the other companies. So all in all I'm pretty happy with that, yes it may mean I slightly bummed about in a years time I'll only have 1 NCB properly, but at least I got a cheaper deal for a modified car policy and don't have to pay £1000 (which it would of been). £600 FTW! :D
