Depends how much the car is - age mileage ect.
Your looking at a few hundred pounds to put that right TBH unless you know of someone in the trade.
-
my best mates in the trade its £1400 12months mot and 12months tax and the mileage is 129000 its a 99reg

1.8T? hmmm i wouldnt pay much more than about 1200 as you can get a straight one for around 2000.
-
£1200 tops... where are you from i have mate who owns a body shop which will sort it
-
i cant find one anywere for less thank £1400 in from near liverpool the wirral
-
personally i wouldn't as at least that side of the car will need painting, the front bumper and bonnet will need blending in also. This is assuming you don't need a rear arch as that looks pretty bent imo
And it looks like the sill has been hit too
-
ur a bit to far then mate lol up your budget to around £1800 you will get a better one .. when something goes on a turbo car its always expensive!
does that mk4 ur planning to buy have service history?
-
yeah it has full service history i cant afford £1800 i only have £2200 to spend on car and insurance lol

So if you got it for 1400 how much will you have to repair it after paying insurance?
-
have you got an insurance quote mate??? ..your gonna spend about £250 fixing it so works out £1650 just for the car..
-
£0 till next payday lol the insurance is £759 for me and my gf lol
-
get her pay for insurance spend £2200 on a car ... :lipsrsealed:

harsh but true ...there are some battered ones out there its all up to how much you spend on buying one
i spent £2600 getting mine on 75,00 on a s reg! some would say i am mad lol but my mate brought a leon turbo (same engine block) 52 plate .. for £2000 and he has had soo many probs..
-
The front wing is easy enough to repair, rear damage will take some labour to sort.
I would offer £1000 to £1100 tops or hang on for a better one.
-
As someone else has already said the sill has taken the hit too and I wouldnt risk that one
-
seems alot for tht car imo
-
Its going to cost more than £250. I had this done to my MK4 buy someone and it cost around £180 (I think, was some time ago now) to get it sorted.

They did a great job mind.

How much
did you take it to Halfrauds or something?
-
No Halfords said it was too big a job for them to knock out. Was taken to a body shop in Croydon. It was scratched and dented and needed repainting (obviously).
