Title: Mk3 Airbox HELP!!!

hi a friend has just recently bought a mk2 GTi with the mk3 2.0 16v engine which needs an airbox/AFM to finish it off but is unsure of which box will fit.
Does anybody know if an airbox from a mk3 1.8 driver will work???? or are they different from the 2.0L GtI???

Think the box from the gti will be ok.

But might also depend on which maf it has, to wether it will bolt on ok.

The 16V didn't have a MAF? But a vac pipe.

Or run a cone filter on the end.
