I'd love to know why detailing lubricants are so expensive.

I've just finished using the Surface detailing kit and IMO it compares well to the Megs equivalent, I found that the AG Rapid detailer is not as good as Megs QD as a detailer but it is very good and far better than Megs QD as a clay lube and in my experiance the AG clay had better pick up than the Megs bar's you kit in their kit.

To add to the comment made by Wurzel, I wouldnt buy any lube regardless of the price as I'm happy to use BH Autoclay which only needs water as lube

I won a "Autoglym Surface Detailing Clay Kit" at the weekend but I'm yet to use it.  The kit itself is a nice idea, shame I'm not going to use the stocking net or SRP.  The clay itself is very soft out of the box, which is always a good sign.

Yeah, I think they call it their "perfect polishing cloth".  I'm not convinced.

I had a contact that worked for them, but most people only buy it when it's on three for two at halfrauds

im a bit of an ag whore - i buy it from my local mica centre - have always found it quite good!
i really like the extra gloss protection they have brought out! makes a difference!!
but i am not very knowledgable about the whole detailing world etc... so may be its good for people like me who jusy want a clean car??
debate, lol... i really should read into the whole detailing/claying etc.. though!!!

EGP has been about for donkeys... its ok... but there are better products out there for the money

read into it as you can get much better results once you step away from AG

Is your car full of swirl marks? If so then that is probably why it has lost it's shine a bit, then again the paintwork could have just faded slightly and needs a good polish. I always seem to recommend this product on here, but as far as I am concerned it is the best polish to use by hand to revive paintwork, try some of this:

How do you find Bilt Hamber clay? I used it & found it a lot easier than a lot of other stuff as you can just use water for lube.
