am bored lol! just interested in how you spent/going to spend your first day when you pick her up?!
-
I could not do much with her on the day I picked her up as it was a Friday. I did take her for a long drive that weekend to the north of the Netherlands but it was wet wet wet... so could not drive with the windows down and listen to the car growl...
-
I picked mine up a couple of days before the F1 at Silverstone, so I had an excuse to take it for a long trip
-

-
i had to pick mine up from taunton and i live in north ayrshire so i had to drive it over 400miles home, was the easiest journey i have driven on the motorways (i use the motorways alot going up and down the country) so relaxing and smooth

ha ha ha yup the operating word is 'instructions'... in my case, it would be 'DRIVE!' which could mean a lot of things, actually... a holiday in Spain, shopping in London, sending her to the beauty salon in Paris... yup... luckily the day I picked up the car, she was outstation... and when she got back, I had business trips... muawahahahahahha... and since I am at work, she is not reading what I am typing... ha ha ha

Hmm hadn't thought about this, but will most likely pick up from central londom then drive it down south to roads around surrey.
Prob take it easy to start with as I don't fancy stacking it day 1, what with new rubber, new brakes etc.

I am sure the wife and I will take the kids out for the first drive. Kids love a new car.
-
For the geographically challenged, the Lang Whang is the A70 between Carnwath and Edinburgh.
It's not exactly on my way home from the dealer's, but it's close enough....

Picked mine up on a Saturday morning and on Sunday I drove it to the GTI International show. Great drive up!
-
If it's a weekday when I pick it up then I will probably take the day off work.
As I live in North Wales there are some great drives around here, Snowdonia etc.
Should get me nicely aquainted with the new baby.
Another 5 weeks to go

Definitely seems like a good idea to go home by the Lang Whang. Because the direct road would include the Dolphinton Straight.

Berwickshire bike rider Neil Purves is accused of hitting 166 miles per hour along the one-mile stretch of A702 on May 13.
The 27-year-old from Cockburnspath was due to appear at Peebles Sheriff Court to face the charge.
But his legal firm - roadtrafficlaw.com - have asked for the case to be continued for four weeks while they investigate the allegations.
Routine patrols on the Dolphinton Straight snared about 20 drivers going over 100 miles per hour last year.
And similar speedtrap operations in the past few months have caught several more. Cameron Grost from Bassenthwaite, in Cumbria, this week admitted reaching 103mph on his motorbike on the same day as Mr Purves is alleged to have broken the Scottish speed record.
