So I bought a new Polo TDI in 07 as it was cheap to run, tax, insure etc.
Fast forward 2 and a bit years and I was so bored with it!
So I bought this and I couldn't be happier!

Well done.

Good work fella :)
Any plans for it or keeping it standard?
-
Gonna keep it pretty much standard, maybe play with some ICE. In 2 years time if I get tired with it I'll remap etc.
-
Get her remapped now. Turns the GTI into the car it should be! Serioulsy, the difference is amazing!
-
^ What he said. Or at least dont wait 2 years. Had mine standard for 7 months and it was fun, then after the remap it is just epic :)
Be careful, if you like your cars it can be an expensive and slipery slope as I and my wallet have found out lol :D
-
Remap it now, or you can wait like i did for 2 years before making the move on the well Known "slippery slope"

....
I would wait a few months just to get to know your car before remapping and also to be sure she's running fine. Plus you'll appreciate the difference so much more.

Whatever the timescale, the slope is indeed slippy!
BTW, like your cool carbon grille surround - got any better pics of it (of point me to a thread).

Modifying is definitely an area I'm reluctant to get into as I know I'll end up spending all my time and money on it. In addition this car is my only way of getting to work so if it starts becoming unreliable etc. then there's big problems!

Indeed, I'm still getting used to all the power, and the fact that people seem to want to race me off the lights and at roundabouts everywhere I go!

Providing you make sure you only use reputable companies who specialise in VAG products, you wont have any probs regarding reliability.

I plan on keeping mine pretty much standard too although I really fancy sorting some sort of mp3 connectivity out!
